I'm one of the founders of a worldwide platform for fan-driven live events
WeDemand ( Queremos! in Latin America) gives power to the fans to demand their favorite artists in their city, allowing the artist to create a direct channel with them, using the information to route tours, sell tickets and message them. When an event comes together using WeDemand, it amplifies fan-artist engagement and improves the overall live event experience for both fans and artists.
Since 2010, we have connected thousands of fans with hundreds of artists to organize over 200 shows across the globe, working with artists like Alabama Shakes, The XX, Chet Faker, LCD Soundsystem and upcoming YouTube stars like Jack & Jack and the Dolan Twins.
The startup world is very different from working with big brands, especially in the ever changing music business. I was able to use my experience with brands and digital products to define our positioning and strategy, coordinating the Product Development, UX/UI and IT teams towards our vision and business model.
Along with my business partners, we were able to make decisions on business partnerships, VC investments, legal strategies, PR, digital campaigns and social media, app development, content production, booking artists and venues, sponsorships deals and fanclub relationship management.
WeDemand's potential to change the live music market has resulted in invitations to many events around the world, such as as TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield (where it was one of the finalists), Cannes Lions (France), TEDx (Rio), the MIT (Boston), Canadian Music Week (Toronto) and Creativity World Forum (Belgium).
